We are already in the starting blocks for the winter season 2022/23 and can hardly wait until enough snow has fallen so that the trails can be prepared again.
Fortunately, here in Tyrol there are some cross-country skiing areas that can already be skied when it is still partly green in the valley. The reason for this is the high altitude at over 2,500 meters in some places.
Since we are sure that some of you will also want to get back into cross-country skiing as soon as possible, we naturally don’t want to keep some of these trails from you any longer:
Moasloipe
The 6 km long Moasloipe leads through a beautiful forest landscape at an altitude of 1,450-1,550 meters.
- Route length: 6,3 km
- Running time: 1 h 30 min
- Highest point: 1.550 m
Höhenloipe Gries
On 8.5 km you will find both a cross-country skiing track and a biathlon track with moderately difficult uphill and downhill sections.
- Route length: 8.3 km
- Highest point: 1.670 m
High altitude trail Silvretta – Bielerhöhe
The high-altitude cross-country ski trail Silvretta, Bielerhöhe, offers two different routes: R1a and R1b. Together they reach a length of about 19 km, with the R1a route proving to be less demanding. Who decides for these two routes, should bring in any case sufficient condition.
- Route length R1a + R1b: 19 km
- Highest point: 2.043 m
High altitude trail Pitztal Glacier
The 4.2 km long trail convinces with a magnificent view of the Pitztal Glacier and the surrounding mountains. The sometimes difficult climbs require a good physical condition.
- Route length: 4.2 km
- Running time: 1 h
- Highest point: 2.760 m
